What is the process of Remapping my Yamaha outboard?
All you need to do is remove your engine ECU, package it safely and pop it in the post to us. Once we receive it we will take a read of your original map and safely store it on our server, this means we can return it to standard settings at anytime.
Once we have the read we then modify it to suit your engine set up and then flash the modified file onto the ECU, package the ECU back up and post it back to you Royal Mail special delivery, we aim to do this the same day we receive it.
A lot of manufactures, Yamaha Outboards included restrict the HP output of their engines via the ECU software, we can often unlock that restriction and add a bit more power.
I.E. A 50hp outboard can be a detuned 70hp engine, therefore we can unlock the restriction and add some power. This can offer huge savings of the cost of the higher HP variant engine.
