Suzuki DF40 Remap
We recently tuned this Suzuki DF40a Outboard for improved performance.
The Suzuki DF40a / DF50a / DF60a all share the same powerhead, therefore, we can tune the DF40a / DF50a to the same spec as the DF60a. Meaning you get a whopping 20hp gain from a DF40a.
We have a strong background in Marine Engineering here at West Wales Tuning, which allows us to tune your engine to its maximum potential whilst keeping within manufactures safe tolerances.
This particular engine, DF40a we tuned to the same spec as the DF60, plus a bit more. We quote 10% in peak gains so this engine should now be running around 65hp, some 25hp gains. The customer has modified the engine decals to suit.
A lot of manufactures, Suzuki outboards included restrict the HP output of their engines via the ECU software, we can often unlock that restriction and add a bit more power.
I.E. A 40hp outboard can be a detuned 60hp engine, therefore we can unlock the restriction and add some power. This can offer huge savings of the cost of the higher HP variant engine.

How would i get my Suzuki Outboard Remapped?
All you would need to do is remove the ECU from the outboard & post it to us.
How long will it take to get the ECU back?
Depending on what time we receive the ECU we aim to get it posted back to you the same day we receive it. We always post via Royal Mail Special Delivery.
Are there any downside to remapping my Suzuki Outboard?
In short no, as long as the engine is healthy and well serviced, there will be no detrimental effects, as a lot of the engines are detuned from the factory they are more than capable of the increased performance.
