The Scania R440 is fitted with the 12 litre Scania DC13124 engine.
The R440 leaves the factory with 440hp & 2300nm. Thanks to constant investment we can now carry out tuning for all trucks / lorries. Our stage 1 ECU Remap add’s 60hp & 350nm bringing an impressive output of 500HP & 2650NM! Which makes a huge difference to overall performance, customer on this occasion also reported an increase of 1-2 MPG after running for 3-4 weeks.
The Scania R440 Tuning Process
Using our genuine up to date Dimsport New Genius the Euro 5 Scania trucks are ID only, this means the tool takes a identification of the software version on the EMS S6 and saves it, we then match the ID against one of our original files which we can then modify to suit. With the file modified we then rewrite the software to the ECU via the OBD port. We then carry out a diagnostic scan and clear any stored codes, at times, some codes can be stored when the modules stop communicating with the ECU during the writing process.
Once everything is complete, we then take the Scania R440 out for a road test, making sure that everything is 100%. On the road, the improved performance is noticed immediately, holding higher gears on inclines, pulling load with ease.
